Will is rarely wrong, but this is one of those rare moments. I’m a Tancredo man myself, but as long as the eventual nominee is not Ron Paul (shivers) I’ll vote Republican. Greetings from Jax.

This is an extraordinary post. I had made similar remarks based on O’Reilly’s comments a while back.

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. However, I do like George Will’s use of a working percentage in judging Thompson. It is just that his chosen numbers are wrong. I would attribute Thompson’s rise to 35% charm and the rest to his Conservative credibility. Alas, we are humans and, as such, something needs to draw us initially to a person. And this “something” for FDT is his charm. And I say, “Good for him.” Having been initially drawn to this charm, I – like you – have continued to endorse Thompson because of his vetted Conservative values. He is the right choice for today’s demands.

Anyway, I found your site via the Florida for Thompson blog list and will continue to track your posts. You have some interesting material and I think we reside in a similar area of the States. If you want to check out my site it’s cited above.
